Objective
The Smith Family has commissioned you to design an addition to their house on the shore of Long Island Sound. The original house was designed in 1965 by architect Richard Meier and has been widely published and is internationally known. Unfortunately, the new Owners needs have changed since the original design. The Owner specifically request that the integrity of the original design be respected, yet the new addition should have its own presence.

Narrative:
Greg and Tanya Jenkins have recently bought The Smith House and have requested to design an addition to their home while keeping the integrity of the house. The original house was built in1965 on the shore of Long Island Sound designed by Richard Meier. Greg is a retired MLB baseball player and would like a home gym to train his kids in and to also keep himself in shape. Greg and Tanya love family time since Greg was always on the road and wasn't able to be there a lot of the time, so they would like a family room and a formal outdoor area where they can spend loads of time together as family. They are also interested in a new master suite with a nice view of the ocean to spend alone time away from the kids which would include a master bathroom and a walk in closet.
